Carson Daly Weight Gain
Carson has worked to de-stigmatize by talking about mental illness. He has been working by joining forces with a non-profit organization Project Healthy Minds. Since Daly has also suffered from mental illness, specifically anxiety, he has so much sympathy for the cause and is doing the best he can to bring change. He has spoken openly about how anxiety affected his life, and his weight.
Daly acknowledged his weight change and became vocal about it in the context of mental health. He observed that he had been putting on weight since starting to take medications for anti-anxiety. In a now-deleted tweet, Daly wrote a fun fact that he was assuming his recent weight gain was a side effect of an anti-anxiety drug he began to consume.
After Daly gained some weight when consulted his doctor if it had anything to do with the prescription of drugs, the doctor redirected him pointing out that weight gain was not a side effect. The doctor said it was merely a by-product of Daly being happy and calm.
