Moreover, she interviewed female Kurdish soldiers on the frontline.
Williams’ international study covers the collapse of the Russian-backed government in Kyiv; the search for lost Malaysian Airlines Flight 370; the Israeli-Gaza conflict; the uprisings in Egypt after the resignation of former President Mohammed Morsi from office; and the earthquake in Nepal. She also presented rare accounts from Saudi Arabia including interviews from disciplined women for claiming the right to drive.
In 2013, Williams went undercover in a Bangladesh factory that sells garments and other clothing to U.S. and European retailers where she found safety and labor abuses. As an ivory collector, she focused on the global trade in illicit ivory from Africa to China and investigated the use of the US government-funded “darknet” by pedophiles.
