Griffith serves as a football analyst and continues to appear in an array of studio programming throughout the fall and winter. He set an NCAA record with eight rushing touchdowns in a single game while at the University of Illinois. He spent two seasons as a fullback with the St. Louis Rams and the Carolina Panthers before joining the Denver Broncos in 1997. Griffith spent five seasons with the Broncos, winning two Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII. He was a key player in the Broncos’ Super Bowl victory in 1999, recording two running touchdowns.
Griffith joined the network after previously working as an analyst for the Illini Radio Network. He is the founder and president of The United Youth Football League’s Hyde Park Jr. Spartans program. The program’s goal is to instill good character traits while also providing the opportunity to engage in youth football regardless of previous experience or athletic ability.
Griffith was picked by the Indianapolis Colts in the ninth round of the 1991 NFL Draft. In 1993, he made his NFL debut with the Los Angeles Rams. Griffith signed with the Denver Broncos in 1997 and spent five seasons as a blocking back for Terrell Davis. He won two Super Bowl rings with the Broncos, in Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII.
