Jeremy Renner Dahmer

Renner starred in Dahmer as the eponymous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in 2002. He found the non-fiction role difficult to accept after completing the film, knowing that Dahmer murdered seventeen people. His performance received positive feedback, and he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Male. On June 21, 2002, Dahmer began a limited release in the United States, opening in two theaters and grossing $16,093 in its first weekend. The film received mostly positive critical reviews and was a box office success, grossing $45 million against an $11 million budget. The Weinstein Company (TWC) released it theatrically, but Lionsgate acquired the film’s home media distribution rights in October 2017, following the publication of numerous sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Weinstein’s credits and logo were removed from home media and streaming services, causing TWC to lose distribution rights.

Jeremy Renner House

In the episode Games of House, M.D., he played burned-out punk rocker Jimmy Quidd. In the episode Games, Quidd is the punk rock musician who collapses just before going onstage. The patient is a heavy smoker with a long history of substance abuse. He is prone to getting into fights. He also lies a lot, especially about his age. Quidd displayed symptoms of trauma, self-cutting, fever, arthralgia, hyperinflation, anemia, fatigue, and blood in his stool and urine.

Dr. Cameron, who attended Quidd’s emergency room visit, attributed his symptoms to drug abuse. When Dr. Volakis and Dr. House heard an explosion, they were preparing a patient for an upper lung biopsy. The patient had partially covered his arm in nicotine patches, attempting to conceal a blood clot from Dr. Taub. He had bad blood fragments, possibly from exposure to blood during sex, according to tests. When Dr. Hosue discovered syringes in his jacket, he realized the bad blood fragments were the result of needle sharing. He ordered that all tests be redone, that the band members be ejected, and that the patient be restrained.

The clots were caused by drugs, but the coughing up blood and respiratory arrest were not. An echocardiogram revealed no signs of embolism but did reveal masses near the patient’s heart. Dr. House recommended exploratory surgery, while Dr. Kutner recommended ARDS. His blood vessels were not damaged during surgery, but his lymph nodes were greatly enlarged. Dr. House initially suspected the patient had measles as a result of living with abandoned children. Dr. Cuddy assumed the patient had received immunization, but Dr. Volakis pointed out that the patient kept swallowing, which could indicate a complex partial seizure. The music played back to Dr. House by the patient aided in inducing a seizure.
