In 2003, he now became a full-time employee of the station. Since 1990, he has resided in New Hampshire. Besides working on TV, Judge has been a full-time real estate agent since the year 2018. Judge was one of the first in New England to acquire the CBM seal (American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) in 2006. He began broadcasting at the age of 12 and had his own radio show by the time he was a senior in high school.
Judge hosted a radio morning program for 8 years on New Hampshire’s Seacoast 102 WZEA-FM. There, he was named “Air Personality of the Year” by the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters in 1993. Later on, he began working at Arrow 105.3 FM. By serving as a consultant for WSI (now The Weather Company), which produces TV station weather computers, he has also contributed to the development of the computer technology that TV stations use to broadcast the weather.
Many of the weather maps and visuals you see on WMUR-TV are designed by Josh. Judge was injured in a hit-and-run accident on the 8th of December, 2006, and suffered a broken skull among other injuries. Judge couldn’t return to WMUR for several months.
He has won numerous accolades, including the 2008 “Golden Mike Award” from the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters. He has also been named “Best NH TV Personality” in the “Hippo Readers Poll” and “Best NH TV Personality” 7 times in the NH Magazine Readers Poll.

The book includes descriptions of New England’s powerful storms as well as historical tales of several of the region’s worst storms. Over 15 of New England’s most well-known television meteorologists contribute to the book, which also includes a chapter written by the Mount Washington Observatory’s staff and hundreds of photographs. In its first month, the book is said to have sold over 5,000 copies. He’s written three books about the weather… Most recently, he published a children’s book called “Be Nice to the Weather Guy” and donated all of the proceeds to CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth).
