In 2012, her whistleblower interview with the F-22 Raptor pilots offered the first official intimate account of the fighter’s oxygen system issues, prompting the Secretary of Defense to take action.

Her insight into the life of a young musical theorist won her Edward R. Murrow Award for Feature Reporting for her 2008 follow-up on the kid, Rex Lewis-Clack. Stahl worked as the White House reporter for CBS News during two presidential terms. She was the first woman to do the role and co-hosted “America Tonight” Stahl has a collection of honors in addition to her Emmys.

In 2013, Stahl obtained unparalleled access to the U.S. Guantánamo Bay jail for a two-part series honored by Edward R. Murrow.
