Reflecting on the past, he admitted that he wasn’t mature, brave, or confident enough to address the issue before starting his career, which emphasizes appearance.
Recalling a specific incident, Paul shared that he experienced a significant moment of hair loss on a Sunday morning after hosting an event the night before. Despite having a great time, he discovered a sudden and rapid loss of hair, not only on his scalp but also on his face and part of his eyebrows. Concerned, he turned to the internet, finding alarming possibilities like cancer and lupus.
Seeking professional advice, he visited a dermatologist who diagnosed him with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks hair follicles, causing hair loss all over the body. Paul highlighted that there is no definite consensus on the causes, which could be stress, genetics, environment, or diet, and, unfortunately, there is no cure for the condition.
