Inocencio serves at CBS as the Asia correspondent for CBS News, based in Beijing. He has two decades of experience reporting across Asia, America, and Europe, covering many of our era’s international news stories with live coverage and original reporting of major geopolitical events, natural disasters, and emerging technology trends around the world.

Prior to joining CBS News, Inocencio was a New York-based anchor and correspondent for “Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia.” At Bloomberg Television, he covered the first face-to-face summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping from Mar-a-Lago, reported on the Bastille Day terror attack in Paris in 2016, and traveled across the United States in 2015 for “Wiring the World,” his technol. He has anchored for Bloomberg Radio and launched two regular podcasts on economic and financial relations between the U.S. and the Asia Pacific.

Before Bloomberg, Inocencio was Deputy Asia-Pacific Editor of the Wall Street Journal for video streaming operations and anchored the WSJ’s weekly multimedia media show “Digits” in Hong Kong. He also filmed, edited, and filed reports from across Asia, including the destruction in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, Hong Kong’s pro-democracy Umbrella Movement in 2014, and coverage from Manila for Pope Francis’ first visit to the Philippines in 2015.

Previously, Inocencio was CNN International’s Asia market correspondent based in Hong Kong and CNN’s New York City NASDAQ editor. He interviewed influential executives and lawmakers, including J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, Cathay Pacific CEO John Slosar, Wikipedia president Jimmy Wales, U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman James Bullard of St. Louis, and Hong Kong Chief Secretary Anson Chan.

Inocencio was the first to work in China as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer to teach environmental science to college students in rural Sichuan province in 2000. He is a 2009 fellow of the EWC Asia-Pacific Leadership Program and a 2019 fellow of the EWC Asia-Pacific Media Fellows program in Taiwan.
